Firdaus F. Bilimoria Writer/ Director/ Producer

Firdaus is a Toronto-based screenwriter and filmmaker. Originally from Bombay, Firdaus was a New Yorker for many years before he came to Toronto. Firdaus is currently developing his next two shorts and a feature film project. He continues to polish his spec scripts and is also polishing his original TV series bible/ pilot. Firdaus’ short fiction has been published in various anthologies by Toronto publishers. Firdaus was selected for the 2012 ReelWorld Emerging 20 (E20) Program.

 

John O’Dwyer   Exec. Producer

John’s professional career has spanned financial, HR, and strategic management. He has held a variety of management positions including President and CEO. John joined the Toronto office of Strategic Advisory International in 2002, where as a Partner he has developed the firm’s international management consultancy practice. John is also an owner in a number of other businesses and teaches at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. John also has an avid interest in movies and film-making; he has performed roles in short movies, a reality TV show, and music videos including one by Alan Doyle.

 

Dinesh Sachdev   Producer/ Asst. Director

Dinesh Sachdev is the Executive Director and founder of Filmi Toronto’s South Asian Film Festival and will be celebrating its 15th year in 2014. Filmi is the first South Asian Film festival of its kind in North America. Dinesh currently serves as the Community Producer for Rogers South Asian Focus TV since 2012 completing over 120 episodes as Producer. Dinesh has acted, written, directed, produced in over 20 short films. Dinesh is the associate producer of his first feature film “The Market”.

 

Scott Jarvie   Editor/ Producer

Scott Jarvie has been producing films since 2002. With strong roots in visual art, his focus is in projects with a unique and intriguing artistic expression. Also specializing in post-production, he is capable of seeing projects from beginning to end.

 

Ian Provis   Producer

Ian balances an accounting career with a longstanding passion for music and the performing arts. Ian has managed musicians and artists, and regularly organizes musical events featuring local Toronto and international artists.

 


 

Jason George   Director of Photography

Years of hardcore technical training in lighting and camerawork have made Jason a mindreader. If you can think it, he can bring it to life with light and lenses. Detail, nuance and pop are the hallmark of his cool collected craftsmanship. Colorful interpretation of directors treatments is his forte; add a  propensity for an untimely, often ill-placed sense of humour, Jason George is sure to please and  impress…….

 


 

Emily Klassen   Composer

Emily Klassen graduated with a psychology degree from Queen’s University.  She has scored music in a wide variety of genres, including many short films, commercials, video games, and a play. For her first feature length film, Separation Anxiety, she won 1st place at the SOCAN Young Audio-Visual Foundation Award for Best Original Theme.  She currently composes for a NYC-based mini-series distributed by web, DVD and limited-theatrical release (Finding Me: The Series).

Lisa Summers   Katerina

Lisa grew up in the suburbs outside Toronto and began studying acting at the age of 14. After being cast in various short films, commercials and a docu-drama series, she was chosen to play the lead role of Jamila M’Barek, a Moroccan call girl turned criminal, in the season finale of Murder in Paradise.  In addition to her experience in playing dramatic roles including Katerina in Horrid When She’s Bad, Lisa  also has a comedy background and is a graduate of The Second City’s improvisation programme.  She is fluent in French and also speaks Spanish. Her favourite past-time? Going to the movies.

 

John Cianciolio   Eric

John is a Toronto-based actor who has taken a side step from his corporate IT job to immerse himself into the world of acting. Listening to that inner voice that drives passion and knowing that the sum of happiness is derived from more than the corporate job, his pursuit has enabled him to appear in TV, Short Films, Web Series, PSA, Feature Films and Music Videos.  In the arts, as with the corporate world, the adage that hard work is the path to success holds true and continues fuel his pursuit as both study and play with iron clad focus and determination.

 

Nives Bogad   Lindie

Nives Bogad was born in Vienna, Austria and has been working as an actress since she was five years old. Nives studied Method Acting at the Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute in Los Angeles where she also performed in a number of stage  productions, including “Awakening” and “Once on this Island”. She has appeared on popular Austrian TV shows such as “Kids4Kids” and “Tom Turbo, and has performed in several short films, including “City of Memories” and “Total Erasure”. Currently Nives resides and works in Toronto, Canada.

 

Terry Jansen   Reid

Terry Jansen started his acting career in musical theatre, dancing and singing in such productions as Oliver and Annie. He then moved on to improvisation and sketch comedy, performing in various venues across Toronto. In the past 5 years he has appeared in numerous commercials, tv shows, and films, including Love Disease, which was shown at Cannes, and Tower, which was shown at TIFF. Terry has recently added the title of producer to his resume, and is currently in pre-production for a 1940’s style film noir feature film.

 

Denis Santos   Jessie

Denis Santos is a Toronto-based actor who has worked on many short films and web-series. Originally from São Paulo, Denis is fluent in Brazilian Portuguese, and works as News Host on Nossa TV Canada. Denis is a Judo practitioner and a licensed scuba diver, and an avid water-skier.

Bingying Yong   Hana

Bingying Yong was born in Nanjing, China and moved to Canada at 9 years old. She grew up with a passion for music, acting and writing. Bing completed a degree in Biomedical Computing before deciding to follow her gut and pursue acting professionally. She has appeared in various independent projects and commercials.
